|09:43 pm - I blame Ben Folds for this thought|
You know, if there was an Australian remake of Torchwood, it'd probably be set in Adelaide.
Current Mood: crazy

Well, that might explain some of the weird shit that goes on in politics.
And possibly why all the porn and fireworks come from the ACT.

All those serial killers? Aliens.
You just know there's a base under the Rundle Mall, and the silver ball sculptures mark the entrance.
Of course, Torchwood Australia is the last great bastion of colonialism, and is, for example, far more fervently monarchist than Torchwood Cardiff. At least one officer spent the late '80s trying to prove that Princess Diana was an alien trying to bring down the royals.
Egads, now my brain is mentally writing conspiracy theories about Diana's death because of you. *shakes fist in your general direction*

Sorry. I'm reading the Diana bio wot Lalla Ward's sister-in-law wrote, and it's very depressing.
I can't imagine there's such thing as a Diana bio that isn't depressing.

(Is it bad that I think it would be amusing for it to be set in Perth?)
But I find Adelaide so much easier to mock!
Yeah, I have to say Canberra as well.
You know whats funny? I have this movie Sample People. Meant to be set in Sydney, but if you pause the movie as certain points, you can tell its filmed mainly around Rundle Street.
I haven't seen that movie. Is it really obvious, or only something people who know the cities well would notice?
Nah, it looks like any city street, just when you pause it at certain moments you can see "Rundle Street Tattoos" or whatever it's called, and I think you can see the tram at one point as well... But there's the obligatory shots of Sydney harbour as well, so it's just me nitpicking.. :P
