I live in California. We have earthquakes here; often enough to keep us on our toes, but not so often that we get used to them. Hopefully things will settle down for you soon.

It's just a bit weird. We don't have earthquakes - well, noticeably big ones - here like ever.

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsww/Quakes/us2009dwau.php gives lots of information. It's one of my favorite sites these days. :)

I wish it gave dates for the other quakes it lists as being in the same area over time. There are a scattering of small ones around the area, but I can't tell if that's over 50 years or 6 months.

Hope you don't get too many aftershocks!

I had actually seen that specific link before.

I haven't noticed any aftershocks thus far. Maybe they're just too small.

Sorry - it was a US site so I wasn't sure. It doesn't look like it shows any aftershocks, though they could just be small. Anything below a 3 you're not likely to notice.

Well, the Australian site seemed to have crashed last night.

Too much traffic? That's usually how it goes- the site you need goes down when you need it.
