fa11ing_away's friends were a bit late to show, so we missed the first part of of Kisschasy (though we did still get the end of them). We also got to see Gyroscope play, and they weren't half bad, either.
But, of course, what I was really looking forward to was the main show - The Living End.
I managed to push my way forward into the mosh pit, until I ended up at the second from front row. (This took quite a bit of effort, I assure you). So I spent the entire show squished behind this girl with a huge arse. She wasn't very nice at all, actually - she went and elbowed me in the chest for pushing her. We were in a freaking MOSH PIT, lady, of course there was pushing. *rolls eyes*
In any case, as I discovered, I really didn't need personal space at all. Or oxygen. The show was quite brilliant - they played songs from all their albums, from Prisoner of Society to Black Cat and all sorts of stuff in between. And there was fun stuff with people climbing all over the double bass, and that sort of thing.
There was also someone in front of the barrier walking around filming the crowd. Which, seeing as I was right near the front, I managed to get on quite a bit of. There may be some DVD purchasing in the future...
Anyways, the show was great fun, and the encore was brilliant - Wake Up and West End Riot. And some lucky bastard went and got one the drumsticks. So all in all, a good night.
I need to see more live bands...
