And now for your regularly scheduled fangeekery

To move away from Real World WTFery for a minute, I shall now return to that wonderous thing that I call for today at least Notes from AnimeLand.

...Which was what I originally intended to post about today, before Obama + Nobel Peace Prize = LOLWOT? Also, what's this I hear about bombing the moon?

Anyway:

- The Raw for chapter 100 of Fullmetal Alchemist is out, and the fandom has collectively imploded. Again.
Which is kind of understandable given that going by the summary and the two pages I've seen, I don't think there is a reaction you can have that doesn't include a combination of O_O, HOLY SHIT, I CAN'T BELIEVE ARAKAWA JUST DID THAT, WRRRRRY, and WHY IS IT NOT NEXT MONTH YET?
Evil cliffhanger. Yet another evil, evil cliffhanger.
- So there's going to be a Haruhi Suzumiya movie. Which is nifty, given Haruhi + film budget + that story could be very interesting. If people get over Endless Eight, anyway. So that'll be going on my to watch list.
(Personally, I think someone just twigged that given Haruhi's massive fanbase, they could make twice as much money if people actually had to pay for tickets to see it the first time as well as the DVDs and merchandise)
- There's also a Trigun movie coming out at the same time. Which is technically old news, but I'd forgotten about it until now.

And on a vaguely related note, anyone going to Armaggedon next weekend? I was thinking I might toddle down there on one of the days (probably Sunday, though I may change my mind).
