03:09 pm - Ah, recruiting
So, I was browsing through a couple of online jobs websites (Speaking of which, I am totally open to recommendations of sites which have Australian jobs. Or insider knowledge of jobs on offer, because hey, not being one of bazillion applicants!) when I find the following:

21. Santa
SUNBURY. Casual position.

...Yeah, I totally LOL'd.
Current Mood: amusedamused

Is seek still around? I haven't gotten into hunting yet, so not sure on what's popped up in the past 5 years. Might also be worth finding out some recruiting agencies and getting your resume on their books (then they'll call you if something comes across their desk that they think you might be qualified for). The Centrelink agencies are pretty terrible, but there are specialist agencies for particular fields, differ in each major city, but worth trying to find one for your discipline and getting your name on their books. Most of the job offers I got came from them putting across my resume rather than me doing it myself.

Though that Santa job sounds promising :)

Seek was what I spent today looking through, and it was actually reasonably useful - better than the other sites I checked out, anyway.

I'll have to check out the recruiting agencies thing, anyway.

Well, it's a temporary holiday placement, only needed once a year...
