|11:22 pm - Okay weather, can we cool off a bit more so I can do things that don't involve sitting in my room|
Firstly: Hello there to the several people who have friended me from the penguindrum meme. Don't worry if I haven't friended you back yet, I prefer to chat a little with people so I get to know them before I add them. So talk about stuff here!
Otherwise, I have decided that since the last bunch of posts have been about RL type things, this one might be a bit more fannish.
Which yes, does mean more links. I'm sure there will be more RL stuff in the future, since Dresden Dolls is this weekend, and Mum's got us some tickets for the tennis in a couple of weeks.
But now, to the fun stuff:
- The Third Rebuild of Evangelion movie finally has an English title. Which, you know, bodes well for there not being more delays. Plus the 4th (and last, since it's called FINAL) is supposedly due out next year. So hooray for that. Hopefully the English release won't take, you know, forever.
I have also noticed that said title for 3.0 seems to have set off a whole lot more of the "sequel theory" stuff (I can see why, based on the title). I do love fannish speculation.
- I can't actually recall if I brought this up on my LJ or not, but there are some details floating around now for the Code Geass stage show. Which I rather wish I could see, even if I don't understand it. To agree with one of the comments there, I don't even care if it's good or not, the idea of Code Geass on stage is so damn entertaining it'd be fun either way.
There has also been some actually good official art for once.
- I have found on Tumblr a whole two entirely separate Texts from Last Night/FMA blogs. Or whatever you call individual tumblrs. Plus this screencap episode guide for FMA.
I think no fannish experience can be truly complete without a bit of crack. And some of them are just so, so perfect.
Is there an Eva TFLN blog? Because that could be terrifyingly amazing.
- The top news stories of 2011... told via lego. Yeah, it's not fandom. But it's still nifty.
- And finally, for whenever someone is pissing you off, the Fuck You Symphony.
Actually, now I think about it I do have some RL stuff, namely a question: Anyone know of anywhere in Melbourne it is possible to get dried karkadeh/hibiscus tea? One of the things I found during last months room clean-up was the packet of karkadeh I got when I was in Egypt way back when, and I made it up last night so I could chill it and drink today. It was very good, and now I want more, but I dunno where to get it around here. I'm not entirely sure I want to resort to buying plant-life off eBay yet...
Current Mood: hot
Oh god, I can actually imagine the last two actually being sent by the characters in question. (Well, I think Asuka wouldn't use the word "fuckable" - maybe "sexy" instead, but yeah.)
Oh internet, you provide me with such glorious crack.
Um, hello there! I'm pleased to meet you. Random enough, I find your title accurate to how I feel towards weather at the moment. If summer just wasn't this hot. Damn it.
And yay! Hooray for the Evangelion movies. I don't know why I'm getting excited about those, since I still don't know how to feel about them. I guess they are okay, but I wish the psychological aspect to them was as good as the series was. But then again, it's Evangelion.
Edit: The fuck you symphony ftw, by the by.

Argh Australia summer. I like warm weather, just not this warm.
I'm trying not to judge the movies until I get to see all of them - it doesn't seem really fair to judge an incomplete movie series against a complete TV show - though I agree the brevity means that they are a little... shallower. Though I am interested in where things are going to go now it's off on a new path.
They're like really pretty, big budget fanfic, when you get down to it.
Hey can we trade weather then? I keep nearly getting sick cause of cold snaps -.-.
Alright with a title in hand hopefully that means 3.0 will be here in like 3 or so months. Which is good because the wait feels so long.
I almost want to be in Japan to see this stage show because it sounds too hilarious not to see.
I hope you enjoy 40 degree (Celsius) days, then.
From what I've heard, 3.0 is due in cinemas in Fall this year - so with hemispheres and whatnot, that's September-October ish? Unfortunately a little more than than 3 months. (Lucky me, who only watched the movies last year...)
From what I've heard about anime stage shows, they tend to always be entertaining. "Good" is sort of beside the point. It had better end up on YouTube, though.
I still hope it's a musical.
Hmmmm. I think I can live with that.
I actually only watched 2.0 last year as well, when I finally got around to buying it (and am now regretting not getting it on Blu-Ray). At least there's plenty of other stuff to watch between now and then (which reminds me I must go download the new BBC Sherlock episode).
OMG A MUSICAL. WITH DANCING KNIGHTMARES AND A SINGING CHARLES. I will blow a months paycheck on flying to Japan just to see that.
I probably ought to work my through my To Watch list, also. It seems the time-killing thing to do.
YES THAT WOULD BE WORTH IT. Charles would be a great musical villain, and we all know villains get the best songs.
