Clarification of Earlier Insanity

If you hadn't already noticed, I now have tickets for the Serenity preview screening next Tuesday evening. Which means not only seeing the movie a whole two weeks before it is to be released, but seeing Joss Whedon.

Joss Whedon! Joss Whedon! The Joss Whedon!

I have no words...

But, I shall be heading off to Glen Waverly to see it next Tuesday evening with neo_leviathan, lena_supercat, and altheas who will be going as Simon. So it looks like lots of fun.

We are plotting renditions of "The Ballad of Joss." All is well in the world.

Any hoo, am now frantically trying to put together a Kaylee costume for the event, with plans for Vic Market and Savers this weekend.

Things I need:
- 1 Light Blue Chinese Silk Jacket/Shirt (Done, courtesy of the wonderfulness of the Vic Market)
- 1 pair of Khaki Overalls, sleeveless (Done, even if they are Navy rather than Khaki. And a little too small)
- 1 long-sleeved white top, with red and green pagoda printing if it can be arranged. (Done! A plain white one, and a pink and blue floral thing, both from Savers)
- 1 pair of wedge sandals, red for preference (Done, from Savers)
- 1 chinese-style parasol (Done!)

ETA: I didn't mention this earlier, but the Hoyts Members thing is running a Firefly competition this month. The task is to write (in 25 words or less) why Firefly was such a good series. The most 10 most creative entries win a Firefly Poster, and the best one also gets a memory stick.

Well, I found this quite fun, and ended up making an entry out of two haikus. I thought I would share it with you lot:

Mysterious Book,
The 'verse's most thrilling crew,
And hunted siblings.

Tales of fun and fear,
The Browncoats died far too soon:
We will rise again.
