|11:43 pm - And, there is randomness...|
Aha! It is the start of a new month, so my internet and I are back. Back, I say!
The other night there was no hot water in Clunies. Again. I was Not Amused. This type I had to wander ovet to West Wing (The college one, not the TV show) just so I could have a damned shower.
I think it's fixed now. Operative word being "think". And if it isn't I am going to have a nice long talk with someone in charge, I swear...
However, college isn't all doom and gloom. I am rather amused by the fact that in an attempt to get people up and studying during Swotvac, the kitchen is shamelessly bribing us students by handing out chocolate bars at breakfast. But it's chocolate, so I'm not complaining. Even if it means I can't sleep in as much.
Apparently, Makybe Diva won the Cup again today. I don't particularly care.
Also in geeky news, fa11ing_away's Thinkgeek order has apparently arrived. So tomorrow I shall toddle down to Uni and get my stuff. Shall be mondo happy there.
Oh, and Star Wars Episode Three is now out on DVD. *winces* Oh, you bastard DVD company, why now? Why?
Maybe I'll buy it as some post exams thing or something.
I know!!! (about SWIII, I mean) I'm gonna have to wait until my birthday or Christmas both of which are toooo far away for my
Obi-Wan obsession comfort. :(
I was down in the city the other day, just looking at the shops, and there it was. Sitting there, all sweet and colourful and not mine.
Bastard DVD. *shakes fist*
It's just being released here this morning so I haven't yet experienced the gut wrenching reality of SEEING it and not BUYING it. WAH!!
It's a tragic, tragic feeling, I must admit.
*shudders and steels herself for teh tragedy*
Can I say that I love that we tend to be online at the same time though? There is comfort in that....
It is a comfort, I must admit. Where are you anyway, and what time is it there?
I'm in the U.S. in the state of Ohio, which falls into the Eastern Time Zone. It is currently Tuesday, 8:57 a.m Eastern Standard Time (we just went off Daylight savings time on Sunday).
Aha. And for me it is... 1.26am. Daylight savings has just started down here in Oz.
That amuses me (the whole backward season thing). I'm easily amused. Must be about time for bed then.
Yes. I need to go have a shower...
Well, at least you don't need to walk too far for it....
Yes, as long as the hot-water is still working.
of so THAT'S why there was alot of star wars dvds in coles today. I thought it was just II and moved on.
you see, if it were a good movie I'd probably consider getting it, but alas...
don't get me wrong, I love star wars. Truley adore it. The old movies, not the new, mind.
The orignals are the best, everyone knows that. Though the third wasn't that bad, really. But I'm a completist. I want all the DVDs.
III was only good because of the references to the older ones, and the wonder that is Yoda.
My, cynical, aren't we?
I liked it. Not nearly as much as the originals, but I still liked it.
I loved the originals and the books too much to want to see Lucas destroy his own creation.
I mean, true, it was amusing, and it was good to have some closure on what actually happened in the back story, but it could have been so much better, story wise.
Oh, I forgot to mention, III was better than I + II because of the (apparent) lack of Jar Jar.
Books. *winces* Ugh!
Let us just agree not to discuss the books, shall we?
It could have been better, I agree, but then, pretty much all things can.
not to THAT extent however

There's a problem with the books? There have been several nicely done star wars books, none that require an instant *wince*.
Look, I regard the SW books in the same way I do the HP movies - published fanfiction, nothing less. Which means while some a good, a whole lot of them are utter drek.
