11:29 pm - Updates? We don't need no stinkin' updates!
I'm getting out of the habit of updating daily, and I haven't the faintest idea why. Perhaps it's the job and all.

Or perhaps it's the fact that I have very little going on in my life right now, so not so much to write on. *le sigh*

Speaking of jobs, I find it rather annoying that I heard back from nobody for ages when I didn't have a job, and now I do have a job, I keep getting phone calls and emails about job interviews. (I have another one on Monday, this time in Richmond. It looks promising, though, as when she heard I was a student, she had no problem with idea of me only being around for two months full time. This bodes well.)

The previous job interview - selling merchandise at the Commonwealth Games - was alright, but I won't hear back from them until early February.

But, after that, I had a lot of yesterdayness to kill. So wandering around the city, looking at the New Year sales. And succumbing to temptation, it seems. Two pairs of oh-so-very-pretty shoes (one of which I have had my eye on for months, watching as the price dropped) which were utter bargains, and two gorgeous French designed skirts. Well, one gorgeous French designed skirt in two different colours (and how bloody posh does that make me sound?).

Photographs of said shopping may be forthcoming.

Also, I have gone and cemented my place as work's official Doctor Who geek. I was wearind one of my DW tops there today (hey, I felt like it!), and Steve, who is in his Forties, and used to watch it as a kid started talking about it. And I started correcting some of the stuff he said, and going into far too much detail (and yet I'm only a New Who fan who's done my research!). He was most impressed, in a bemused sort of way.

On a side note, Anne apparently knows five - five - people who are named Nyssa. Which is weird.

Ticket selling is going okay, I guess, but not fabulous, I did get called a "very naughty girl" today, though.

Also, I do believe I may have accidently gotten myself a DW plot bunny (somehow based on a mental rant I was having about fluff shipping and shipper cliches). So, I might actually end up writing some Whofic. *shock, horror*

It isn't a simple idea, though. It's complicated and weird, and probably more along the lines of Subject 1452. As in something I could submit to Creative Writing, which means it'll probably take a few weeks of messing with it before I seriously start writing it, and it will need about a zillion betas and re-edits and the like.

On the plus side, if it's good enough, I could use it for creative writing this year. Across the Genres is one of my classes...

Just wanted to say hi as I've added you via the Doctor Who friending thing - hope that's okay :D Am also very envious of you having attended Unseen University and Sunnydale High, so have appropriated them for my own cv :)

Good luck with the Whofic!
