Lancelot's been a bad boy

So, yesterday I had a minor nervous breakdown when my computer just... died. As in, turned itself off, with no prompting from me. And then everytime I tried to turn it back on, it would turn off again within a minute or two. And I hadn't the faintest idea why.

My first assumption was some nasty virus or something, so I went and called up some computer repair place, who sent someone out today (at like 5pm, so I had a computerless today. Which is Not Good when one has work to do for Creative Writing. Think I should email my tutor about things?)

So he turned up, and checked for spywear and viruses and the like, and there was nothing. Well, nothing particularly nasty. And his only other suggestion was a problem with the fan, or the computer overheating, but he went and burned some stuff onto a CD (to clear up memory and all, which was another suggestion), and said if that didn't get it to overheat, then it was something else.

And again, nothing happened.

So basically, I got charge a lot to get told I should keep the area around the fan intake clear, got some spywear and virus checkers, and got rid of some useless files. And I still don't know what was going on with it the other night.

The only conclusion I can come to is that it is a conspiracy by my computer to prevent me getting spoilered. Or doing work.

And I missed that maskerade party I could have gone to. Which fa11ing_away kept sending me gloaty texy messages about the guys dressed up as assorted Doctors. Oh, and some guy (dressed as the Fifth Doctor) trying to flirt with me via text, apparently.

Not a good night.
